The Dining Room
The Dining Room, once the village Post Office and shop, now offers a relaxing setting for meals for up to 6 guests. The walls have a large number of engravings by Henry Jackson Simpson, an Aberdeen artist (and Julia's grandfather).
It also provides a comfortable sofa and armchairs for relaxing in front of a log burner.
The Snug
The Snug contains a table for 2 for breakfasts and other meals.
Guests can also make themselves at home and relax in the Snug. Whether you want to curl up in front of the log burner with a good book and a glass of wine, watch TV or play one of the board games available or sit and chat, the Snug provides a cosy space with a sofa and leather armchairs and a flat-screen TV, books and games where guests can relax.
Outside
Particularly lovely in Spring and Summer, the walled garden provides a relaxing space which guests are welcome to enjoy.
There is ample seating on the patio where you can sit back and relax with a glass of wine and a book, or simply enjoy the sound and sight of the bees, birds and butterflies as they go about their day.
As one guest noted on TripAdvisor: "Outside is a lovely patio to spend time with a book or a drink."
Although we don't sell alcohol, guests are more than welcome to bring their own - we can provide glasses, corkscrew and bottle opener.
Parking
We have at least 3 parking spaces available for guests (1 is allocated for each room). We have more space potentially available if required.
The parking is private within our enclosed garden, accessible through gates at the side of the house which are shut at night.
