We are making our own Bread
After a long time thinking about it, we have decided to start making our own bread to offer guests.
So far, we have only made a few loaves - so we have been limited as to what we have been able to offer guests.
We have made white loaves, 50/50 loaves (50% strong white flour and 50% wholemeal), and (my favourite) 50/25/25 loaves (50% strong white flour, 25% wholemeal and 25% dark rye).
The ingredients are simple:
- flour,
- salt,
- yeast,
- sugar,
- water, and
- olive oil.
So none of those other ingredients you see on the packaging of shop bought loaves.
And it tastes better - well we think so!
We are always interested in trying different types of loaf. So, if you are booked in for a few days and fancy a particular type of bread, give us a call or send a message and we'll see if we can accommodate you.
