After thinking about it for a while, we decided to start making our own bread for guests.
So far, we have limited our offering to white loaves, 50/50 loaves (50% strong white flour and 50% wholemeal) and loaves with a mixture of strong white, wholemeal and light mathouse flours. We get our flours from Shipton Mill.
The ingredients are simple:
flour,
salt,
yeast,
sugar,
water, and
olive oil.
So none of those other ingredients you see on the packaging of shop bought loaves.
And it tastes better - well we think so!
We are always interested in trying different types of loaf. So, if you are booked in for a few days and fancy a particular type of bread, give us a call or send a message and we'll see if we can accommodate you.
