Introducing our New Breakfast Trifle
We believe breakfast is the most important meal of the day and, for may of our guests, our breakfast is a highlight of their stay. We take great pride in our breakfast offering and are delighted to introduce the Breakfast Trifle to our menu.
What is the Breakfast Trifle?
At the bottom is a layer of homemade fruit compote - either a mixture of berries, or homegrown rhubarb, sweetened with raw, unpasteurised Lincolnshire honey from our suppliers, Apidae Honey. On top of that, we spread a layer of organic Greek style yogurt. Then comes a generous topping of Tony's fabulous homemade granola. Finally, we finish it off with a glistening drizzle of runny Lincolnshire honey.
A Great Start to the Day
Apart from tasting delicious, our Breakfast Trifle offers a number of benefits that make it a fantastic choice for anyone to start their day with.
The Fruit Compote: fruits are high in dietary fibre; they are also rich in vitamins, antioxidants and natural plant compounds to support your immune system and overall health.
Greek Yogurt: full of protein which is essential for muscle repair, energy production and keeping you full; it also contains calcium and probiotics that support a balanced gut microbiome; and, by using organic yogurt, we ensure no artificial additives or unnecessary hormones.
Homemade Granola: Tony's granola is made by hand in small quantities, using a blend of rolled oats, seeds, nuts, dried fruit and bran flakes. The oats are a fantastic source of slow-release carbohydrates and a type of soluble fibre that can help lower cholesterol levels; the nuts and seeds provide healthy fats, minerals and vitamins; and the bran flakes provide additional fibre.
Raw Lincolnshire Honey: because it's unpasteurised, the honey we use in the compote and as a drizzle retains all its natural enzymes, pollens and antioxidants.
